Sowing the Seeds

During our time in lockdown many people have had the chance to reconnect with nature and have found this inspiring. We would like to help you to sow the seeds of creativity based on these renewed connections and contribute to a project which involves the whole community.

Please help to grow a virtual community garden by sending in your images of flowers, plants and trees; or perhaps other things you may find in gardens or parks such as birds or insects. Contributions you send in will be combined and used to create a ‘garden’ for ARKH that will be displayed on this website and in our physical space when it reopens.

You may wish to use painting, drawing, photography, collage, digital media, printmaking or other methods to create your artwork and your plants and creatures will be used to create a virtual garden. You can view some ideas for inspiration at the bottom of this page. The final piece will be displayed, both virtually and physically, in August for others to admire.

Use a plain, preferably white, background for your image(s) and ensure that, if you photographing your work, you do this is a well-lit area to ensure the best image quality (photographing outside on a bright day is ideal). Please send image files that are as large as possible; in order for them to manipulated to create the final piece – the more pixels the better!

Please note:

The name you enter will be used to credit your contribution.

Leaving a contact email address will mean that we can get in touch should we need you to resend the work for any reason.
